RedPeg Further Positions for Innovation and New Business Growth, Appointing Former Etihad Airways Executive as VP of Client Services
Harry Poole Hired to Continue Bolstering Agency’s Growing Rolodex of Clients in the Sports Industry and Beyond
November 14, 2018 (Washington, DC): RedPeg, the D.C.-based independent brand engagement agency behind GEICO, Amazon and Accenture, today announced the appointment of Harry Poole, former Regional Head of Sponsorship for Etihad Airways, as the company’s new VP of Client Services. Poole brings an extensive background in account, sponsorship and business management to RedPeg, having spent the past decade working with leading global brands and sports influencers.
Prior to joining RedPeg, Poole held leading roles with known sports and marketing brands including Octagon and the NBA. His extensive experience includes managing sponsorship activations for Olympic gold medalists, including gymnast Aly Raisman and skiers Kikkan Randall and Mikaela Shiffrin, in addition to developing global marketing partnerships.
Most recently, Poole led Etihad Airways’ sponsorship strategy and activation in Europe and America, overseeing a portfolio of top-tier brands including Manchester City Football Club, New York City Football Club, Major League Soccer, Monumental Sports & Entertainment (Washington Capitals, Wizards and Mystics), as well as New York, London and Milan Fashion Weeks.
“We are excited to welcome Harry to the RedPeg family. His work on both the agency and brand side, as well as his experience working with brands to leverage their sports partnerships, will bring great perspective to our team and enhance our capabilities,” says John Piester, RedPeg President. “On a personal note, there are a few of us concerned with his passion for the Red Sox and Patriots, but it’s tough to argue against those teams these days. Great to have you onboard, Harry.”
“RedPeg is a proven leader in experiential marketing, and has positioned itself as a forward-thinking agency with its impressive eSports and gaming capabilities that very few in the industry possess,” said Poole. “Creative vision, credentials and knowledge count for a lot in our space, but RedPeg also separates itself from the field with its incredible people and culture. I am thrilled to be joining an agency that aligns so well with my own professional passions, and I look forward to helping our clients open new doors in an ever-changing world for years to come.”
Poole’s appointment comes on the heels of other key executive hires at RedPeg this year: Fredda Hurwitz, who joined the team as Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer; John Millward, the company’s first Chief Innovation Officer; and Kristin Kidman, Vice President of Client Services.
