ERIC HANSEN

CFO & COO

Eric Hansen has 30 years of experience in financial and operational leadership. He has been the CFO & COO of RedPeg Marketing since September 2016. Prior to that, he provided financial and operational leadership to companies who needed a turnaround expert, an interim/part-time CFO or COO, or financial planning & analysis. Eric ran Henninger Media Services, a market-leading post-production company, for 13 years as their COO.

Prior to joining Henninger in 2002, he was the Managing Director of Reach Consulting Group, a management consulting firm specializing in finance, marketing and strategy for small- to mid-sized companies. Previously, he was one of the senior partners of Renaissance Real Estate, a residential home renovation business based in Washington, D.C.; the President and CFO of Built2XL, a fitness and wellness company that he co-founded; and an investment banker at First Union Securities in Charlotte, NC. He currently sits on the boards of Sprout Kitchen Gardens and the For His Children Endowment Fund (which financially supports an orphanage in Quito, Ecuador).

Eric is an avid international traveler, visiting over 40 countries, including a drop-everything-and-travel-around-the-world-for-six-months trip. He currently lives in Alexandria with his wife and son. Eric has an MBA from The Darden Business School at the University of Virginia and a BS in Finance from Georgetown University.

Matt Sincaglia

Vice President, Strategy & Analytics

Matt Sincaglia is Vice President of Strategy & Analytics at RedPeg. In his role, he oversees consumer insights, brand strategy, trendspotting, measurement, data analytics, and new business development efforts for the agency. He focused on identifying how brands can best reach their target audience and how to optimize program performance by being data-informed.

Matt started his tenure at RedPeg in 2010 as an intern while finishing graduate school at Georgetown University, where he earned a Master’s in Sports Management with a focus in Marketing, Communications, and New Media. Over this time, Matt has strategically led clients such as Anheuser-Busch, Carnival Cruises, DISH, GEICO, TD Bank, Texas Tourism, and Volkswagen, to name a few.

Turning an internship into a job is not a first for Matt. His career started while at the University of Maryland, College Park, where a summer internship with AIG Small Business turned into an Interim Marketing Coordinator role, which he credits for uncovering his love of marketing. He later graduated from Maryland with a BA in Communication, with a focus in Sociology. Matt spent his early career in communications in both the sports and corporate sectors.

Matt lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife and 2 sons. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Experiential Marketing Measurement Coalition.

Brad Nierenberg

CEO & FOUNDER

Brad Nierenberg is the founder and CEO of RedPeg Marketing, an Alexandria, VA-based experiential marketing agency whose clients include GEICO, Capital One, Yuengling, DISH and Lidl, to name a few. Led by the idea that he wanted to create an agency he’d aspire to work for, Brad has remained steadfast in keeping the company independent, focusing on creating a positive workplace culture. His philosophy is that success is “all about the people.” That vision has led to him being named Best Boss by Winning Workplaces and RedPeg being named as a Best Place to Work by the Washingtonian and Washington Post.

Under Brad’s leadership, RedPeg effectively connects brands with their target audiences through active engagement. RedPeg’s commitment to problem solving and innovation has led to dozens of award-winning campaigns and being named one of the Top 10 Innovative Live Events companies in the world by Fast Company, as well as landing a spot on DC Inno’s 50 on Fire list. Brad is regularly featured as a sought-after marketing resource with articles and quotes published in outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Brandweek, Inc. Magazine, Entrepreneur, The Washington Post and more.

His passion for innovation spilled over in Brad’s philanthropic efforts, championing the Chance for Life charity as the founder and Chairman. Supported by business leaders and prominent industry influencers including Boeing, Facebook, and the MGM National Harbor, Chance for Life has transitioned from an annual fundraiser into a year-round 501(c)(3) organization to support children and families fighting pediatric cancer. Brad’s dedication to both RedPeg and Chance for Life continues to drive his success as a leader and philanthropist

John Piester

President

John Piester graduated from Ithaca college with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management in 1995. During his time at Ithaca John was a member of the Ithaca College football team for 2 years, as well as an active participant in intramural sports. As a Junior, John interned with the National Basketball Association (NBA) in New York City. In 2016, John was honored by the College with a Sports Management Distinguished Alumnus Award.

After graduating, John fueled his love of basketball working with the Charlotte Hornets. From there he started a career in experiential marketing with Momentum Worldwide where he helped build the Coca-Cola Racing Family program. In 2000 John landed in Salt Lake City, UT with the 2002 Winter Olympics Committee where he acted as Operations Manager for the Ice Hockey venues. John returned to the agency world in 2002 with ignition where he would enjoy 14 years getting to work with brands such as Coca-Cola, Harley-Davidson, Delta Airlines, and ESPN. John accepted the position as President of Alexandria, VA based agency RedPeg Marketing in 2015.

John and his wife Kate have been married for 21 years. They have 3 children (Adam 20, Michael 19, and Linnea 15).

John Millward

CIO

John Millward is the Chief Innovation Officer for RedPeg Marketing overseeing creative, marketing, strategy, and digital for both the agency and its clients. John’s entrepreneurial spirit inspires him to find innovative ways to continually improve RedPeg’s people, product, and process.  

Prior to RedPeg, John was the founder and CEO of Blue Flame Events, a full-service experiential agency focused on live show production, mobile marketing, tradeshows, pop-up retail design and activation, and permanent installations. His extensive client portfolio includes powerhouse brands across multiple sectors, including Google, Salesforce, Discovery, Coke, Apple, Reebok, Sports Illustrated, Pfizer, NFL, Levi’s, NASCAR, Palantir, and P&G.  

A passionate leader and creative problem solver, John prides himself on developing and producing integrated experiential campaigns that deliver effective solutions and drive business results across the B2B and B2C segments.

John brings over 20 years of experience as a creative leader to RedPeg. Most recently the Executive Creative Director at GMR Marketing, John has led the design of impactful B2B and B2C experiences for some of the world’s leading brands. 

His award-winning portfolio spans a wide variety of industries, including projects with brands like adidas, Visa, NFL, Chevron, Gillette, Dow, and CBS. Most importantly, he’s done it all on the biggest global stages, helping Fortune 500 companies create life-long connections with audiences at the Olympics, the FIFA World Cup, the Super Bowl, and more. 

John is passionate about bringing people together through innovative, immersive experiences that ultimately spark emotional connections and inspire change.  

Erick Long

Vice President, Production

Erick Long is the Vice President of Production at RedPeg bringing years of experience from the event and entertainment industries including projects for the Academy of Country Music, Universal Studios, Salt Lake Winter Olympics, Google, MTV and Microsoft.  Erick has focused his career on live event production including award shows, special television projects, movie premieres, red carpets, non-profit events, music festivals, theater productions and more.  Some of the key events that Erick has produced or played an integral role include the Academy of Country Music Awards, ACM Honors, ACM Party for a Cause Festival, Salt Lake Winter Olympics, Super Bowl LVI, Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, the Grammys and Special Olympics World Games. 
 
Erick thrives on building relationships and creating meaningful networks of collaborators.  In addition to his professional work, Erick has been involved with many community and volunteer organizations including Leadership Music, FETE Event Professionals, Meeting Professionals International, International Special Events Society, Inland Valley Humane Society among many others.
 
Erick graduated from Emory & Henry College and currently serves on the Board of Trustees where he chairs the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee.  He lives in Santa Clarita, CA with his husband, Christopher and their gentle giant dog, Dixon.
